Nicole Ireland has had a special interest in pelvic health and continence since finishing her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (UNDA) in 2008. This interest and becoming a mother herself then lead to the completion her Master of Clinical Physiotherapy (Women’s Health & Continence). Nicole is also an active member of the Continence Physiotherapy Network WA, has a Post-Graduate Certificate of Manual Therapy and a Bachelor of Science (Exercise & Health).
Nicole has expertise treating both men and women with pelvic health and continence concerns through manual therapy, exercise prescription, real-time ultrasound, individualised patient education, and acupuncture. She has a keen interest in pelvic floor rehabilitation to manage conditions across the lifespan including incontinence, bowel dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, prolapse, and pelvic pain. Nicole also has expertise working with women during pregnancy, acutely after delivery, and assisting recovery post-natally, as well as treating musculoskeletal complaints associated with the childbearing years. Nicole is also a qualified Pilates instructor, and is experienced teaching post-natal Pilates, including postnatal FitRight® exercise classes. She has also worked previously in musculoskeletal, chronic pain management and occupational rehabilitation physiotherapy.
When she is not working Nicole can be found spending time with her husband and two daughters, exercising (yoga, pilates, weights or running), sewing, scuba-diving, or working her way through Perth’s best cafes.
